Strategies for Keeping New Year’s Resolutions

Self-control comes easier for some than others, no doubt. There are a lot of factors when it comes to keeping those resolutions, and we need to keep it simple.

Here is the list of strategies I will be using this year to live better.

  1. Make specific and realistic resolutions. Instead of resolving to “lose weight,” try resolving to “exercise three times a week” or “cut out sugary drinks.”
  2. Write down your resolutions. Seeing your resolutions in writing can help you stay accountable and motivated.
  3. Tell someone about your resolutions. Sharing your resolutions with a friend, family member, or accountability partner can provide support and encouragement.
  4. Keep track of your progress. Seeing the progress you’ve made can help keep you motivated and encourage you to continue working towards your goals.
  5. Don’t be too hard on yourself. It’s okay to slip up or have setbacks. The important thing is to get back on track and keep working towards your goals.
  6. Find ways to make your resolutions a part of your routine. Incorporating your resolutions into your daily or weekly routine can make them feel more manageable and easier to stick to.
  7. Reward yourself for making progress. Celebrating small victories along the way can help you stay motivated and feel good about the progress you’re making.

Ok, Lord… I am going to need your help.
